Wood v.s. Gas - Is there a difference?

The most important thing when making amazing pizza is reaching very high temperatures which all Stoke ovens can do - this will allow you to make incredible pizza in 60 seconds!

Using wood creates a tasty wood-fired flavor. Wood-fired food just has something tasty about it - you can't beat the ambience of a crackling fire and the aroma it will fill your backyard up with. 

You can also use a mix of Wood and charcoal. This combination is best used fo a slow drawn out cook at lower temperatures - ideal for meat such as beef or turkey.

You can also use gas to cook low and slow. Gas is the most convenient fuel source when you're looking for that constant, lower temperature. Control the temperature of your Stoke with the gas knob on the burner. Using gas is the most versatile as it allows you to cook at super high heat (950ºF/500˚C) or lower temperatures.

Your fuel choice is totally up to you and how you dream of using your Stoke - each Stoke oven has it's own awesome set of benefits!

Loved it!

I got to bust out my Stoke pizza oven for the first time over Memorial Day Weekend for a backyard cookout and it was everything I had hoped it would be. Right out of the box it was almost completely assembled, and after attaching my propane tank and firing it up, the oven reached an internal temperature of 1000 degrees within minutes. We had pre-made our own pizza dough and prepared our pizzas inside on our kitchen table. I have the 16” Stoke and the pizzas we made were about 10” in diameter. Using some semolina flour on the countertop and on the pizza peel, I was easily able to transfer the pizzas into the Stoke and let it cook for about 1 minute between quarter-turns to make sure the crust and pizza was evenly cooked throughout. I cranked out about 10 pizzas in an hour and they were all cooked to perfection. Cooking pizzas with the Stoke was a fun and engaging way to entertain our guests and I look forward to using it for years to come

Best pizza oven!

As an ametuer pizzaiolo I couldn't have been happier to see my stoke pizza oven arrive. The shipping was fast and on time. The unboxing and set up was seamless. When I attached the propane tank and fired this baby up I could barely control my excitement. I would recommend getting a wooden peel to push your pizza into the oven and a smaller rounder metal turning peel to help you adjust your pizza while it is in the oven. Let the Stoke Pizza oven get really hot for about 15 minutes or so. I made about 10 pizza's in my first attempt because I just became obsessed with the way they came out. The dough was fluffy and the crust was perfectly charred and cheese was piping hot. My friends and family could not believe the quality. I can't wait to keep experimenting with different toppings and dough.

The Stoke pizza oven is excellent!

First of all its so easy to put together and easy to use. It probably took a total of 5 minutes to unbox and assemble.The pizza cooks perfectly when you let the pizza stone heat up for about 15 minutes prior to putting the pizza in. We cooked it for about 3 minutes, and rotated it a few times.
